Turn your messy notes into a practice quiz in 5 minutes

**What you'll get:** a personal quiz made only from your own notes. Your AI asks one question at a time, tells you right or wrong and why, then gives you a score and the topics to review again.
## Why this works
Re-reading your notes feels like studying, but it mostly isn't. Testing yourself is what makes things stick. The hard part has always been that nobody's there to ask you the questions. Now your AI can be.
## Copy this into your AI app
Open ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Paste this, then add your notes under it: type them, paste them, or attach a photo of the page.

You're my friendly study coach. I'm going to give you my notes (typed, pasted, or a photo). Turn them into a practice quiz that helps me remember.
How to do it:
1. First ask me 3 quick questions, all in one message: what the test or topic is, how many questions I want (suggest 10), and whether I want multiple choice, short answer, or a mix. Wait for my answers.
2. Make the quiz using ONLY what's in my notes. If my notes are messy or a part is unreadable, tell me what you skipped. Never make up facts.
3. Show me ONE question at a time. Wait for my answer before moving on.
4. After each answer, tell me right or wrong in one line, and give a one-sentence reason from my notes.
5. At the end, give my score and list the 3 topics I should review again.
Keep everything short and simple. No jargon. If I say "again", quiz me only on what I got wrong.
Here are my notes:

## How it works

## What it looked like when we tried it
We used a page of real-looking biology notes, plus a phone photo of handwritten notes.

> **AI:** Got your photosynthesis notes. Three quick questions: 1. Is this for a Bio Chapter 7 test, or something else? 2. How many questions? I suggest 10. 3. Multiple choice, short answer, or a mix?
>
> **Us:** Biology test on Friday, chapter 7. 5 questions is fine for now. A mix please.
>
> **AI:** **Question 1 of 5.** In photosynthesis, where does the oxygen come from? A) Carbon dioxide B) Water C) Glucose D) Chlorophyll
>
> **Us:** Carbon dioxide
>
> **AI:** ❌ Not quite. The oxygen comes from **water**: the light reactions split water. (Your notes flagged this as an exam question!)
Claude read every line of the handwritten photo correctly, and Gemini confirmed it could read the whole page. On the typed notes, Gemini skipped the line "ask teacher abt photorespiration???" and said why: there were no facts in it yet. That's the "never make up facts" rule working.
## If you get stuck
- **It keeps asking the same question.** If your answer doesn't fit the question, the AI asks again. Just type "I don't know" and it moves on and shows you the answer.
- **Not sure it read your photo right?** Before the first question, type "list what you read first". It writes your notes out as text so you can check them. If it skipped something, retake the photo in better light or paste that part.
- **You want more practice on your weak spots.** Type "again" at any point. It re-asks only the ones you missed.
